Linux system management and custom programming

TNC staff have been managing Linux based systems since 1994, which was also when we first started operations. Our first system was slackware and one of our clients, who is still a co-locator, the Northern Alberta Radio Club, was our first Linux web server. Since 1994 TNC has managed Linux servers for schoolboards, provincial government departments and numerous clients. Needless to say all of TNC's own servers are Linux based. We have extensive experience with Red Hat and Debian based systems.

TNC offers a wide range of services based on our staffs exceptional base of experience for Linux systems, everything from OS upgrades to remote system management, smoothwall and Ipcop firewall configuration and other proprietary firewalls to custom network software. A project TNC has been involved with over the past year deals with providing a custom gateway for cell phone based instrument communications and Internet based database servers. Extensive use of open source software solutions made this a much more viable project than using other OS's. More information about the Smart-Alek(tm) gateway can be found at Zedi Solutions
